St. Paul Catholic students participate in over 20 varsity, junior varsity, and freshman team sports in the Northwest Conference. A 2006-2007 report by the CAIC listed St. Paul number one in the state for athletic participation percentage by school. The team sport offerings are as follows:

Each season All-Academic Awards are given to varsity letter athletes that have completed the season successfully in the Northwest Conference and have maintained a GPA of 88.0 or better. All-Conference awards are handed out at the end of each season and Northwest Conference capatins are recognized at a captains lunch at the start of each sports season.
Each summer St. Paul Catholic is host to a number of sports camps, most notably the “Shoot for Success” basketball clinic, has been in existence for 37 years. Our boys’ basketball coach, Mr. Steve Phelps, runs the Falcon Basketball Camp for middle and high school students, with the assistance of Coach Gary Palladino. Additionally, Coach Jude Kelly hosts a premier level summer football camp for students Grades 3-9.
St. Paul Catholic plays host each year to the Martin Luther King Basketball Tournament for middle school students. This tournament attracts middle school boys’ and girls’ basketball teams from Catholic Schools across Connecticut and is considered one of the premiere tournaments in the state. |
